Frequently asked questions
How much of the story is already written and planned out?
No devil lived oN has years worth of content ready to be used. It has several arcs planned out, and also several stories running at the same time. This makes several mangas possible, with the same story seen from different perspectives.
What makes No devil lived oN different from other long-running manga series?
The easy answer is that anything Dino creates is original. The way it is made is both inspired by his own mind, but also influenced by the actions of the people who played the characters in the campaign. It is deeply layered and quite unpredictive due to it's unusual origin.
How do you ensure consistency in such a complex, multi-arc story?
The whole plot was planned out years before we started playing it. So all the major events were thought out long before the character's stories unfolded. The whole point of this manga was that butterfly effect, how a small action a character makes one day can have huge consequences years down the line. Dino knew what he wanted out of this. How it was done was somehow influenced by how it was played out. There are always dominoes waiting to be tipped over in this manga.
How is the manga being created — what tools and methods are used?
The manga is being written by Dino, and drawn by our team of artists. At first they will have meetings for initial stencil sketches, and then the panels will be drawn out digitally.
Is AI used in production, or is everything hand-drawn?
Absolutely eveything in No devil lived oN is done by humans. The language, the alphabet, the story and the designs are all done with no AI. It is hand drawn, physically and digitally.
What steps have already been completed in the manga’s development, and what remains?
The only thing that is missing is fine tuning and getting the actual physical copies of the manga.
- The story is fully written, with years of content available.
- The concept for the main characters are done.
- The style of the manga has been sketched.
So after we get to the point of No devil lived oN being made into a manga and/or an anime, we would have workshops to do the finished details and then draw out the final pages.
The design is 90% done on purpose. This is to show that we have a unique style we like, but we're also open to some influence.
What opportunities exist for expanding beyond manga (anime, games, TCG, collectibles, live play, etc.)?
No devil lived oN is very much made to exist over many platforms. We would be open to many different merges, such as TCG, board games, Role playing game, Anime, live streaming of the story being played out, collectibles, smaller app games and also more advanced digital games. We have experience in most of these fields and are good at adapting.
How developed are the existing expansions like the TCG and board games?
Dino allready has two board games and one TCG fully developed, printed and tested. He has always loved making games and have some finished ones that have not yet been used. Therefore, all that we would need to do is edit the design and flavor of the games to fit into No devil lived oN.
Why was it designed as a brand from the beginning, rather than just a manga?
We are creative people. It is litteraly in our souls. So when we make something we need it to come alive. When you make something you truly believe in, letting it live it's life through many platforms is only natural. We love the arts, eveything from movies, manga, books, images and games. All of these are unique and great ways to express yourself. So, when making No devil lived oN, or any project fuelled from our dreams, we make it into a brand; so it can live it's own life.
Who is the target audience — age, demographics, regions?
Japan is the heart of manga, so it's a natural place for it's birth. But, No devil lived oN is made with international inspiration by people from all over the world. It's intended to reach global success. The audience would be older youth - adults since it is quite mature.
How do you see this resonating in Japan versus global markets?
Japan loves originality, and this is just that. It is also highly inspired by manga and that way of telling a story, instead of western comic book styles. As we have seen throughout the years but maybe especially more in the recent years is that the world also loves manga and anime. We wouldn't want to change our Japanese inspirations to fit into the global "box", we would simply make it as great and inspiring as we can and the world would surely follow. Japan has inspired the globe with it's anime, manga and cosplay and it should be celebrated. If you make a good enough story, everyone will love it, no matter where they are from.
Why do you believe there’s a market for a new IP of this scale today?
There isn't a lot of IP's of this scale today existing. You have a few good ones that work because they are actually planned ahead, but a lot of the good IP's end up making quick and bad decisions to keep up with the pressure of production. Because of this the IP's tend to be shorter lived. No devil lived oN allready has about 40 arcs planned, and also several spin-offs available. This means that No devil lived oN as an IP would be able to mass produce content with thought out quality instead of having to make all new content as it's being published.
How do you envision revenue streams across manga, games, merchandise, and beyond?
The manga is the foundation, released both physically and digitally, with potential for special editions. One of our strongest ambitions is an anime adaptation, as the story is already structured in arcs perfect for seasons. In parallel, games are a key focus: a trading card game and several board games are already designed, while mobile and digital games offer some of the most exciting opportunities given today’s market. With characters and creatures suited for collectibles and merchandise, every branch has room to grow — but all of them connect back to the same universe, building a brand that can thrive across industries. It is important to focus on not just what people want now, but to create for the future aswell.
